Confidentiality
Confidentiality is of primary importance to the safety and welfare of the young people in our care and as such is respected at all times.

  • Each young person in our care has a separate file relating specifically to him or her, which is secured in a locked cabinet.
  • Any information held on computer is done so in accordance with the data protection act 1998. Access to the computer is for administration purposes only and not for general use. All IT equipment is situated in a separate locked office which residents and other unauthorised people do not have access
  • All staff understand, respect and adhere to policy and procedure in relation to confidentiality.
  • Disclosure of privileged information is viewed to be serious misconduct and subject to disciplinary action.
  • Confidentiality is included in our on-going training schedule.
