Service Provision

Our homes service provision
Southern Care offers residential provision for young people aged between 13 years - 17 years, male and female. Our homes offer a safe and caring environment in which young people receive positive experiences and a good standard of personal and physical care. Young people will be offered the opportunity to learn new skills in a communal setting whilst maintaining his or her individual identity.
Our priority is to create a safe caring environment where the emotional and physical needs of young people are met, with due regard to their individual racial, cultural and ethnic backgrounds

Southern Care's aim is to guide the young people through a difficult period in his or her life and provide a stepping stone toward a more positive future. We aim to work in partnership with carers, the local authority and the young person to achieve the best possible plan to suit his or her needs in both short and long term placements.

We offer a wide and varied range of care provision including educational & career opportunities, assessments, life skills, and anger management etc. Each young person has a programme tailored to suit his or her needs taking into account the young person's age, race, gender, ability, cultural, sexual and religious identity.

Our care homes provide a homely environment and seek to be non-institutionalised. The young people are encouraged to take responsibility and accept the consequences of their actions. The setting of clear boundaries and expectations for both staff and young people provides a solid foundation from which to deliver quality care.

It is our belief that by communicating with and keeping young people informed throughout their placement helps create a positive working relationship whilst recognising the need for sensitivity at all times. Allowing young people in our care to have a voice and affording them the time to be listened to encourages them to feel valued as individuals.
