Staff Supervision & Support
All staff working in the Southern Care team including those with a domestic or administration role are supported and receive supervision.
All staff are provided with our employee handbook.
All staff have a personal staff development file, which holds copies of southern care's aims and objectives, policies and procedures, induction details, individual profile, supervision, appraisal and training details.
All staff receive regular one to one supervision with his/her line manager, (at least once every three weeks). New staff every two weeks
All supervision is recorded. It is signed by the supervisor and supervisee both of whom keep a copy on file.
Staff meetings are held fortnightly offering the opportunity for group supervision.
A staff care policy is in place in which all staff are able to contact the personnel officer with personal or work related matters should he or she feel unable to discuss such matters with his or her supervisor/line manager.
Our employee handbook contains policies on misconduct, disciplinary, grievance and harassment and clear guidance for the procedure in such matters.
In addition to regular formal and informal supervision all southern care staff receive an annual appraisal, receive a full report on their progress and any recommendations for future development
